If mirrors could feel,
They’d say, “For a better view, look within”
Philosophise the definition of appearance,
Juxtapose real and reel.
A dull melancholic song emitted the reflector,
As the sophomore burst into hysteria,
Looking despicably,
At the features vitiated by acid
If mirrors could feel
They’d wonder why they’re
Incapable of manifesting
One’s truest self
Epiphany shattered one whole
Into a hundred thousand,
As the chords struck, materialism
Supersedes benevolence
If mirrors could feel
They’d ridicule and laugh at
The condescending lad with golden
Tresses and a soul quite the opposite
Maybe, someday, sometime,
Glasses would find solace, hoping,
That maybe, someday, sometime,
Will be the end of pretences and ostentations.
